I NEVER SAW ANOTHER BUTTERFLY

(this is the slugline for the jpeg image)
Of the 15,000 Jewish children who passed through the Nazi camp at Terezin, only about 100 were alive when the camp was liberated in 1945.  Raja Englanderova was one of them.  This is her story…

The atrocities of World War II’s Holocaust are hard to imagine in this day and age. It is even harder to think of the hundreds of thousands of children who suffered at the hands of their fellow Europeans. I Never Saw Another Butterfly, written by Celeste Raspanti, is a play based on one such child, Raja Englanderova.  She was a child survivor of the Holocaust.  T.H.S. drama students will be taking this play to the VHSL one-act competition.    Come support them on this ONE NIGHT ONLY performance!

After the one-act performance, through arrangement with the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater, a holocaust survivor who lives in this area will be sharing her experiences, followed by a Q/A session with the audience.  This promises to be a powerful evening and a wonderful opportunity that you will not want to miss.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 8th @ 7pm.
